Fun with Mitchell

The other night after dinner Mitchell wanted to express his artistic side with a little finger painting! Well finger painting turned into body painting! All that matters though is that he had a good time! And went straight to the bathtub!

Later that night Mitchell and John went downstairs to his room for a minute and came back looking like this! (You never know what will happen when daddy dresses him)

Shake it!

Look at those abs!

Major blackmail when he's older!

A Trip to the Zoo

Last Sunday we knew it was going to be a pretty day, so we took off after church and headed to the zoo! Mitchell was so excited that he hardly ate anything for lunch-thats not unusual though, he'd much rather be doing something else than sitting still eating! We got there around 11 and it was still a little breezy and chilly, but it def. warmed up once it got into the afternoon! We were there for about 3 hours and i think around an hour was spent on the playground! He loves it!
Woohoo-headed to the zoo!

Waiting on daddy to get money for the Carousel!

After a long deliberation he finally chose the white tiger! We were hoping to see the baby white tigers, but it must have been their eating time!

Daddy and Mitch!

These little guys are by far my favorite! This one meerkat was just posing for everyone! He sat like this for a good 10 minutes! They are a little dirty, but oh so cute!

Mitch with his 5 lbs. bag of popcorn! We saw some fish, so he thought he could feed them popcorn, since thats what we do at Defeated when we go camping! But we quickly told him that we would get kicked out of the zoo if we did that there!

TIMBER

We had a small dead tree in our front yard and John had been meaning to cut it down for a while now, so Sunday we decided would be the day. We waited for Mitchell to wake up from his nap so he could help!

TIIIIMMMMMBBBBBBEEEEERRRR!!
Carrying the branches to the road!
Here's the video of the tree falling-Mitchell's fav. part. You'll have to tilt your head for the first part-I always forget you can't video up and down!

Happy Birthday Aunt Marty and Deb!

Just wanted to wish Aunt Marty, and my mom's best friend, Debbie, a Happy Birthday! Hope you both have a great day!
Aunt Marty, Mitchell, and Maggie
Debbie, Janet (her mom), my mom, and Mitchell

Never leave Mitchell unattended!

I had to steal this from my mom's blog to show my fearless son in action!
From mom's blog: We kept Mitchell Friday night, while John and Kristin went on a date. I have a gate on my stairs to keep the little ones from going up. Well, Mitchell (or Mr. Incredible) that's what he calls himself, decided he would find another way to get to the cat upstairs. We were watching TV and looked over and he was on his way up the stairs on the outside. Buddy stood right under him to see how far he would go. The boy isn't afraid of anything, which is kind of scary.

Look at me!
Ready to catch me Papaw?

Just one more step!

I MADE it!

Doctor's appt.

I had my (almost) 12 week appointment today! John decided that he doesn't like going into the office very much! Everything freaks him out! Not sure how he made it through Mitchell's delivery. We got to hear the heartbeat-it came in at a strong 160 beats per minute. I instantly said, "Another boy." But Doctor Cadena said he doesn't believe in that old wives tale, so we'll see in another 6 weeks! I go back in a month, then two weeks later we'll find out what we are having!

Western Day

Mitchell had Western Day at school Monday, so he decided that he was going to be the Sheriff! He just kept saying, "Yeehaw and Howdy, Partner" all day!
Giving his new fake smile with Mr. Bull!
I'm gonna get him!

Got him! This is a closer pic of his new fake smile! His bottom teeth go one way or the other! HAHA
We are looking forward to doing lots of playing outside Friday and this weekend! It's supposed to be in the 70's! We may not come inside at all! John is off Friday and Monday too, so we should get lots of playtime in!

Riverdance

Saturday there were 11 of us girls who went to see Riverdance! This was my third time seeing it and it just gets better everytime! Unfortunately this was their "Farewell Tour", so i may never see another show again! I think everyone who went loved it! There's a good mix of the band playing, singing, and dancing! I was very tired just watching their legs move! After the show our limo driver(s): Bubba and his co-pilot, Buddy (my dad) took us to Wasabi to eat! It's a Japanese hibatchii grill where they cook in front of you! I of course ate too much, but it was very fun! A special thanks to Bubba and Cindy for chauffering us around!
After our stomachs were way past full, Shannah and I went back to my house! Her and Matt brought Guitar Hero over and i really didn't think i would like it or be any good at it, but i fell in love with it and got a little better as the night went on! I'm going to go ahead and say this will cause ADD for many kids! We played for over an hour i think and it took me FOREVER to go to sleep that night! I felt like my brain was thinking about 50 million diff. things!
