8 months

Happy 8 months to Shelby!

As of 8 months you are...



-doing baby push ups. I guess you have been watching mommy and daddy do Insanity too much because you can do a real push up.

-you can go to the upright sitting position from your belly.

-you are SO close to crawling. When you are on all fours you'll move your hands a couple times, then your belly falls. Gotta get those knees a workin'

-you aren't a fan of being put in your carseat. Once you are in it, you are fine. It's just the straping down part you don't like.

-you love clapping your hands.

-starting to make diff sounds instead of da-da. Maybe ma-ma is next. :)

-you LOVE when your brother comes in to your room in the morning time. You always get the biggest grin.

-you are definetly going to have your daddy's complection. We have been outside a lot more lately and mommy is already jealous of how you tan!

-you love to eat. And we can't eat around you, if you aren't eating something.

I'm trying to get INSANE like mommy and daddy. (For those of you who don't know, INSANITY is a dvd workout that John and I started 2 weeks ago-a very tough one i might add)

Defeated Creek

We made our first trip of the year to Defeated Creek to visit mom on her week long trip. Mom's best friend from VA- Debbie, was up visiting with her all week long. We went up Tuesday morning and my brother and his family met us up there. I seriously think Mitchell would live at the campground if we would let him. He loves it up there!

Springtime Flowers

My grandmothers flowers were so pretty a couple weeks ago. She said we should put Shelby in them and take some pics, so thats what I did. She wasn't too sure about being "in" the flowers. In most of the pics her arms were up in the air-trying not to touch them!

Mr. Photographer himself! (he didn't take these pics, but he loves taking pics of just about anything) My camera is now "his camera". Guess that means I need to get a new one! :)

Easter 2010

Better late than never, right? I've been using mom's camera a lot since it takes such good pics, so i haven't had time to download them until now. This was Easter over at my Great-Uncle and Great-Aunts house-its beautiful!

Mitchell wasn't feeling the greatest over Easter weekend. We thought it was just allergies. I took him to the doctor the Monday after and he ended up having strep! And he actually liked taking his medicine this time and would remind me to give it to him!

7 months

These are Shelby's 6 months pictures, which were taken a week before she turned 7 months! (HA)

At 7 months you



-now have two teeth. You cut both your bottom teeth in the same week.

- have the fake cry down. If you are playing in your room by yourself and you see me walk by, you can turn it on in a matter of seconds!

- are really close to crawling. (just gotta get that belly off the ground)

-started eating puffs and you love them. You are a good chewer already, so i'm thinking you are gonna love "real" food!

-love the water. We got our little pool out last week and you love splashing and sitting in it.

My Aunt Sissy had made this precious outfit for her grand-daught, but she outgrew it, so she let us borrow it. It's so cute! Great job Aunt Sissy! I'm sure you put a lot of hours into it.

Just want to wish my little buddy Trevor a very Happy 3rd Birthday! He's such a little cutie and full of energy! Happy Birthday little T!

Happy Easter

We hope everyone has a great Easter! Mitchell was telling me all about the Easter story from what he learned at school yesterday! I'm so thankful that he can go to a Christian MDO and learn, but I'm most thankful that Jesus is ALIVE!
