Happy 4th Birthday Mitchell!

Happy Birthday to my little sweetie-Mitchell. His birthday isn't until Monday, but we'll be at one of his most fav. places-Defeated Creek! It's so hard to believe that he's four! Next year he'll be getting ready for Kindergarten...sniff sniff!

A little about Mitchell at 4 yrs. old...

-his favorite color(s) are blue and green.

-he can't pronounce his "Fs", they all sound like "S" instead.

-he can spell his first and last name.

-he LOVES Hot Wheels

-he loves being the good guy and daddy being the bad guy, whether its them having a sword fight or playing with figurines.

-he has the best little personality. Every Sunday morning at church, the first thing he does is go in and give Dave and Roma Wharton (our Pastors parents) both a hug!

-he never meets a stranger

-he is an official swimmer.

-he can hit the fire out of a baseball

-he loves "riding" a skateboard

-he loves having a little sister and he told us last week that he wanted two more Shelbys! (don't think that'll be happening)

-his favorite cartoon is Phineas and Ferb.

-he's a little cuddlebug. If he sleeps with me, the first thing he does in the morning is smiles at me, then says, I Love you, Mommy! The sweetest words i've ever heard!

Mitchell, we couldn't have asked for a sweeter little boy! We know you will grow up and be great at whatever you choose to do! Thank you for being such a good little boy! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Fun at Pops and Gram

After we went golfing last week, we stopped in at Pops and Grams. They have really been working on fixing up John and Clay's old swingset/playhouse. It's looking great and all of the kiddos are really enjoying it. Even the little ones! They also got the slip n slide out. John got a good workout in pushing them down!

Last week we went golfing with Pops! Mitchell was really excited to be on a "real" golf course! He did great and had a blast! I hadn't played in almost 4 yrs. so i was a little rusty. John said i did good, but i think he was just being a good husband! :)

Pigeon Forge

WARNING: Picture overload on this blog. Had too many pics from vacation, so i tried going through them the best i could! We were supposed to go to the beach with Pops/Gram, Karla and her family, and Daniel & David, but we didn't want to chance the oil situation with the little ones, so we ended up going to Pigeon Forge for the week. Pops and Gram came up a couple nights too! We had a great time and the kiddos were great! Shelby was such a trooper-she was in the stroller most of the time(as you will see in most of the pics), but she was happy as could be! Enjoy the pics!

First time to drive a go-kart by himself. He did good, aexcept when he kept looking at me and not straight ahead! He's got his racing face on!

I guess it helps you drive better when you squint one of your eyes. I have like 5 pics with him looking just like this!

What a difference a year makes. Mitchell rode on one of these 3 story wooden go kart tracks last year and didnt like it one bit. This year he came down the ramp the first time looking just like this!

I think he may have been squirting Pops here!

We got one free horseback ride with our hotel stay. We didn't know it was going to be in the parking lot, but Mitchell didn't mind at all. This was his first time on a horse and he really liked it! Darla (the horse) even gave him a horseshoe to take home!

On the way home we stopped in at the Knoxville Zoo. Thanks to our membership at Nashville we got in for free! Mitchell in the birds nest-it looks like he's trying to lay one! HAHA

The zoo had an indoor place called WeePlay. Mitchell loved it. It had a play vet., kitchen, a place for Shelby to crawl around, and other fun things. It was nice to go inside for some A/C for a while!
