Merry Christmas

We just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Mitchell has had a blast so far. We have been to Pops/Grams house, Papaw/Grandma, and this morning we are headed to (great)grandmother/(great)Pawpaw's house for a yummy breakfast! As soon as Mitchell woke up he was ready to go upstairs to see what Santa left him! I'll post more pictures later, but for now-Have a great day and enjoy your time with family!

Happy Birthday to my cousins!

Just wanted to wish a Happy Birthday to my cousins, both December babies! David's birthday is today and he turned 16! I talked to him as he was on the way to get his driver's license and he didn't sound nervous at all! I know he'll do great because he's been driving around his house for a while now! Love you David! I'll never forget the first time John met David (and the rest of my family) I guess David was about 6 then and he was sitting on the couch by John and John was saying something to him, then David looks up at him and says, "your breath stinks" HAHA It was too funny! Love you David!
I love this picture! David is so cute, even in a tiara!
Maggie's birthday was Dec. 3rd and like David she was at the driver's license place the day of her birthday! She just turned 15, so no driving on her own for another year, but she did pass her test! YEAH Mags! It seems like just yesterday I was driving Maggie to our house every Sunday night! My mom kept her every Sunday night through Tuesday evening while Aunt Marty worked!

School Christmas Party!

Mitchell had his first Christmas party yesterday at school. (He kept calling it a Halloween party, i guess since the last party he had at school was a Halloween party) They just ate and ran around like crazy from their sugar highs! It was very fun to see all of them interacting together though! I always say that I'd love to be a fly on the wall and watch him during the day!
Sitting at the table like a big boy!

Mitchell loves him some Mrs. Dorothy! She is always telling me that he's her little cuddle bug!
Mitchell also had a special visitor-Papaw! I can't seem to locate my camera and he was in the area and just happened to have his camera, so he stopped by for a few minutes!

Best attempt at getting a wreath picture! The kiddos weren't so sure about sticking their head through the wreath!

Mitchell with Mrs. Karen! She's the director of the whole MDO! She does a fanatastic job!

Mitchell's best little buddy at school-Drew! He's such a little cutie! He and Mitchell are exactly a week apart!

Checking out the ornaments on the tree!

We are pooped! After a fun day at school and a great party!

Making Cookies-well sort of!

For those of you who haven't checked the blog this week, you might want to go back a few! I've been on a roll and have blogged many times this week. Actually I just had a lot of pictures that I hadn't downloaded from my camera and i finally did it!
Tuesday Mitchell and I made cookies-well sort of! Monday night we went through the cookie cutters and picked which ones he wanted to do! Of course he picked the dinosaur, airplane, train, and I chose the Christmas ones! So he helped me make the dough Tuesday morning, then the fun began! The first batch turn out great, then when I was rolling the dough back up, it somehow became a monster truck show! We made a hill for them to climb, then the dough turn into dirt/sand! We only got one batch made, but Mitchell had a blast!
You are doing great cutting those cookies out!
Mischevious smile! He had other plans besides making cookies!

MONSTER TRUCK SHOW!!

Superman got stuck on top!

The finished product! Next time i'll remember to split Mitchell's name up between two diff. letters-WOOPS!

Good Luck Jeremy!

My cousin Jeremy leaves next Tuesday night for the Air Force! We are so very proud of him but we don't want to see him leave either! He'll be gone to basic training for 8 weeks, then weapons training for the next 2 weeks, then he'll be sent to his base! Altogether he'll be gone 6 months! We know he'll do great because we have seen how disciplined he can be. He lost over 80 lbs. i think, so he could enlist into the Air Force! He lost the weight even though he was eating at moms every Thursday-now thats impressive! Sunday our church presented him with an Airmen's Bible and a VERY nice watch. You can set the time to 3 diff. time zones, so he'll always know what time it is back home! The manual was like 2 inches thick! After church Sunday we went to his parents house and all the family was gathered to give Jeremy an early Christmas since he'll be gone during that time! Then Tuesday night we ate here at moms! Jeremy picked the menu: Philly Steak & Cheese sandwiches, vegetables, then we had an apple pie dessert! It was all delicious-as usual! Jeremy said he hadn't eaten within the last 24 hours just so he could come pig out and still make his weight! We'll miss you Jeremy, but know that you'll have so many people praying for you! You are going to do great and we are very proud of you-we love you!

HO HO HO! One of mom's gifts to Jeremy! He loves anything and everything camo!

We all wanted Air Force shirts ever since we knew he was going in, so i ordered some shirts and made everyone (except Pawpaw & grandmother) a shirt!

We love you Jeremy!

Pawpaw & Grandmother with their great-grandboys and youngest grandboy!

Pawpaw, Jeremy, and dad!
Pawpaw is so proud of Jeremy! Pawpaw served in the military when he was a young man, so he can relate with Jeremy! One of their fav. things since Jeremy was young was to share military/war stories. Pawpaw had a hanky in hand all through service Sunday!

Pastor Andrew loving on Jeremy!

Another girl for the Carey's!

Cousin Maddie is VERY excited to announce that she'll be having a little sister sometime around the first of May! Now Maddie won't be outnumbered when she's around her boy cousins! It doesn't really matter anyways because she holds her ground very well! They are still trying to decide the exact spelling, but they are thinking Charlie Jo! LOVE IT! We are so happy for the Floyds and can't wait to meet Miss Charlie!

First School Picture!

Here's Mitchell's first school picture that was taken about a month ago! His teacher made the photographer take the pictures over because she said the first ones he took weren't his real smile! I love it!

North Pole Express

Saturday morning we went downtown and rode the train to Lebanon and back! We had a great time once they got the heat turned down! It was a sauna in there compared to the other cars! Mitchell of course was non-stop moving around, but thats nothin unusual! We had a whole car of family/friends/acquaintances-there were 43 of us all together! Once Mitchell heard that Santa was coming he ducked under one of the seats and stayed there for a while. One of Santa's elves played with him for a little bit under the seat, so i think that helped him a little. Then he finally decided to come up and he actually took a picture with Santa! He kept saying "Santa is happy!" It was too cute! So hopefully we have overcome our fear of the man in red!
Checking out the view! He saw lots of backhoes and cranes!
Mitchell and his second-cousin Drew! They just happen to have the same pajama pants on! Me and his Geegee have good taste! :0)

The best picture of the three I could get!

Family pic-It looks like I'm giving a thumbs up, but I'm not! HAHA

Pops & Grams came along the ride with us! Thanks for coming!

Uncle Craig and Mitch

Gram reading The Polar Express to Mitchell! They used to read the book to the kids on the train, but Warner Bros. wanted 30% of their gross receipts just for reading the book! Read the article to find out more about this situation! http://www.wsmv.com/news/18146840/detail.html

Michael and Mitchell! They didn't sit still long!
Here's Mitchell hiding from Santa!

Happy Santa!

He kept his eye on him the whole time!

What can I say, he loves his mama!

Pillow Fight

WARNING: Do not try this at home! Noone was seriously hurt during this videotaping!
This is the true meaning of a pillow fight! I think Pawpaw was the one who started this game when Nolen was younger, so of course Mitchell joins right in and loves every minute of it! So any time we are all together at Pawpaw's house the coffee table gets moved and the pillows are brought out!

Pics from Thanksgiving!
