Chattanooga Trip

We had a great little trip to Chattanooga this past weekend! Mitchell was so excited on the way down! I don't think he quit talking for more than 30 seconds! HAHA When we got to the hotel he said over and over like 5 times, "Thank you for bringing me here" He's too sweet!
Saturday morning we got up early thanks to our human alarm clock and ate some free continental breakfast at the hotel. Then we were off to the aquarium! Mitchell's fav. part were the sharks of course, i absolutely loved the penguins! They are funny creatures! We explored the aquarium for a couple hours then headed outside to let Mitchell play in the water feature that they have outside of the aquarium-it looks like a river! After that we walked up a VERY steep hill to get to the pedestrian bridge which goes over the river! On the other side there are restaurants, a carousel, and water fountains! By the time we got back to the car i was a whee bit tired!
After playing in the water fountains, we went back to the hotel and took a good nap! Then headed to eat some Mexican and to the mall! When we got back Mitchell and John swam in the pool and we acting like the penuins diving in the water!
Keeping a distance from the stingrays! Mitchell says when he's older and brave that he will touch them! :)
The first few pictures are a little dark-the camera wasn't on the right setting!

Family pic!

He got to help release a bunch of butterflies!

Showing me the butterfly on his finger! One was just hanging out on his head for a bit!

I think he liked this as much as the aquarium!

Hanging out on Mr. Turtle-waiting for him to shoot water out of his mouth!

YEAH-he finally shot water!

Riding the carousel!

Headed to the car! Daddy was a little tired! Mitchell was feeling great!

Sunday morning we had another round of the free breakfast, then headed to the Chattanooga Zoo. We got in for free since we are members at the Nashville Zoo, which was very nice! The zoo isn't quite as big as ours here, but you can see the animals up close a lot better! Mitchell's favorite was a parrot that was talking to him. I took video but forgot to take a picture! We had to go back to that parrot like 3 times!

Has anyone seen these wild animals? They are on the loose!

Awww thats a cute little tiger!

Mr. Monkey!

35 week check-up

Had my 35 week check-up today. Mitchell has been going with me here lately because he likes reading the books in the waiting room and seeing the nurse and doctor. Well i think we read every book in there today because we had to wait about an hour to get back to the doc. He did an ultrasound and i'm measuring one week and a day ahead! So according to the charts i'm 35 weeks tomorrow but the ultrasound says 36 wks. 2 days! He said she's already 6 lbs. 8 oz., so it looks like she may end up being a little bigger than Mitchell, unless she decides to come early. She is head down, but she's not down in the birth canal yet, so it looks like she wants to bake a little longer! Said her breathing looked good and my fluids. And another important thing-he didn't see any boy parts! HAHA So it looks like my time is drawing near! We were planning on going out of town to Chattanooga this weekend for a last trip for Mitchell, but a really good friend of John's late mom passed away last night, so we aren't sure when the funeral will be. But i'll keep everyone updated from here on out! He'll start checking me every week starting next Thursday!

How to eat an Oreo

The proper way to eat an Oreo. By Mitchell Carey
Step 1: Dip it in milk
Step 2: Insert into mouth. Be sure to lean over your bowl in case some milk drips!

Step 3: Chew and smile at the same time because it tastes so yummy!

Step 4: Analyze the Oreo to see where you want to bite next!

Step 5: Smile again because it just keeps getting better!

Step 6: Think about the yummy oreo milk going down your throat!

Step 7: Last and final step-turn it up and drink it!

Gone Fishing!!

John didn't have inservice or football practice yesterday so we went to the lake and enjoyed some nice weather and some fishing! John wasn't having much luck at first! As soon as he would throw his line in they would take his worms and run, so we called the expert fisherwoman-my grandmother! She told us to put just a tiny bit of worm on the hook. Well wouldn't you know as soon as John started doing that he caught about 8 total. Mitchell enjoyed the water, his duckie and wormie friends, and some fishing!
Walking with his duckie friends! All we had to feed them were goldfish, but they didn't seem to mind. They were very friendly!
Got my line out!

Being very patient!

Woohooo! I caught a big one!

Loving the water!

His wormie friends! YUCK!

Staying cool!

Guess he needed a nap!
