11 months

Shelby is over 11 months now, but mommy is running a little behind on things these days!
Shelby @ 11 months...
-you started taking 4-5 steps at a time last Thursday. You are very cautious though and when you loose your balance you go back pretty slow like you are doing squats.
-you are loving your table foods. Still haven't turned anything down yet!
-you like your sleep at nighttime. You got to bed at 8 and usually don't wake up until 8:30-9!
-you aren't interested in the tv at all. Your brother at this age was mesmerized!

Mitchell's Birthday Party!

Mitchell had a great birthday party and most of his friends made it to celebrate with him! He was really looking forward to it this year and had been talking about it for several months! We went through about 15 different themes for his party. It changed from day to day, but he finally settled on Hot Wheels! He and Grandma were looking at cakes online and this is the one he chose!

Mitchell was especially happy that "Big Shelby" could make it to his party. She attends John's high school. I think this is "one" of Mitchell's girlfriends! :)

We actually forgot to sing Happy Birthday because we never really got the candles lit. I don't think too many peoples noticed though! HAHA We did sing to him on his actual birthday though!

And last but not least...after most everyone left, the "big boys" moved the slip n slide over by the pool and they were doing flips out of it. Mitchell got in on the action too!

A week old

One Year old

Happy Birthday to my little sweetie-Mitchell. His birthday isn't until Monday, but we'll be at one of his most fav. places-Defeated Creek! It's so hard to believe that he's four! Next year he'll be getting ready for Kindergarten...sniff sniff!

A little about Mitchell at 4 yrs. old...

-his favorite color(s) are blue and green.

-he can't pronounce his "Fs", they all sound like "S" instead.

-he can spell his first and last name.

-he LOVES Hot Wheels

-he loves being the good guy and daddy being the bad guy, whether its them having a sword fight or playing with figurines.

-he has the best little personality. Every Sunday morning at church, the first thing he does is go in and give Dave and Roma Wharton (our Pastors parents) both a hug!

-he never meets a stranger

-he is an official swimmer.

-he can hit the fire out of a baseball

-he loves "riding" a skateboard

-he loves having a little sister and he told us last week that he wanted two more Shelbys! (don't think that'll be happening)

-his favorite cartoon is Phineas and Ferb.

-he's a little cuddlebug. If he sleeps with me, the first thing he does in the morning is smiles at me, then says, I Love you, Mommy! The sweetest words i've ever heard!

Mitchell, we couldn't have asked for a sweeter little boy! We know you will grow up and be great at whatever you choose to do! Thank you for being such a good little boy! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Fun at Pops and Gram

After we went golfing last week, we stopped in at Pops and Grams. They have really been working on fixing up John and Clay's old swingset/playhouse. It's looking great and all of the kiddos are really enjoying it. Even the little ones! They also got the slip n slide out. John got a good workout in pushing them down!
