This is Mitchell's great-grandfather AKA "Pawpaw". Mitchell stays with him and grandmother every Thursday. Pawpaw usually beats me getting out of the car to get Mitchell. Mitchell will sit on his lap as still as can be and watch cartoons, this doesn't happen with everyone. But his most favorite thing to do with Pawpaw is to ride/drive the tractor. One day grandmother and Mitch were outside and he had been playing on the small John Deere tractor and he had carried the key back to the house, guess he wanted to go for another ride later. HAHA But he is as happy as can be when he's on a tractor, hopefully he'll get some more riding time in here pretty soon once it warms up.
I LOVE this!

Easter weekend!
I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! We had a long weekend with John. They were out of school Friday and Monday, so we got lots of playtime in. Friday we were getting the Dish Network installed, so we all played in the backyard most of the day. Mitchell helped us put our new wheelbarrow together, played in the leaves, ate some dirt, & walked around with daddy's drill, fixing anything and everything that he could. So we all had a great day outside Friday. John and I cleaned up the yard some. It feels like its a never ending process, but i'm sure we'll get there someday. We got the fence moved out to our property line and attached to the new addition, the next project is a pond!
Daniel and David came over Friday evening and we grilled out and almost had to call a locksmith to get Mitchell out of their Tahoe! HAHA They were washing their car at our house and Mitchell loves being inside of a car messing with all of the buttons/knobs, so they put him in there WITH the keys HAHA And what do you know, he hits the lock button. So we try and get him to hit the unlock button, but it wasn't working, so when I was gone to get the yellowpages and a phone he finally just pushed the lock over to unlock! Bet we'll all remember to never leave the keys in the car with the kid, I know I have done it before not thinking!
Saturday we went to the Charlie Daniels Park for an Easter Egg hunt. There was a petting zoo, pony rides, inflatable slides/jumpy things, concessions, and of course an egg hunt. There were 15,000 eggs and they were all gone within 2 minutes. John figured it up that it was 125 eggs being picked up per second...WOW! They had all of the ages roped off in different sections. Mitchell's was 2 & Under and they were on the tennis courts, so it was pretty hard trying to keep him from running out there until it was time. Mitchell only picked up 4, but he could have had more. He was just happy to finally get to run around. He kept saying, "ball" and either kicking or throwing them. HAHA He did win a gold dollar from a bank though!
Sunday we didn't do anything besides go to church and Home Depot!
Then yesterday we took Mitchell and Bobby (my third cousin) to the Adventure Science Museum. It's really a neat place, lots to do and see. Mitchell was really into the Toddler Section. They had blocks, trains, blocks, and PVC pipes in there to play with. So after we explored the whole place, we spent a while in there.
Mitchell's Easter Basket. Camo Crocs, camo shirt/shirts, socks, tablets that color your bath water, and a Backyardigans dvd, which was of course his favorite gift.

He wasn't too sure about his hat, he liked carrying it around instead.

Showing me the snow that he and Daddy saw last week! HAHA
We almost had a catastrophe here on the swings. This swing is pretty low, so for John and I, we have to hold our legs straight out and up the whole time. As I was about to take a picture, John's foot got caught and they came flying towards me. John stumbled a few times, bounced off of me, then finally caught himself and Mitchell. It was pretty funny and scary at the same time, because Mitchell would have done a faceplant!

Snowing when its 65 degrees??!!??!!
Mitchell had a big day yesterday! First me, Mitch, Nolen, and Grandma went to cousin David's game at Antioch. They are on Spring Break, so they played at 11. Me, Nolen, & Mitchell didn't see much of the game, but it was no surprise to me. HAHA They ran on the football bleachers for a while, then Mitchell took me on a hike around the football field. They were pretty pooped once we left there.
Since I went to the game I had to work a little later, so John picked up Mitchell after he got off work and they decided to go to the park. He went down the slide for the first time (backwards and on his belly) HAHA Not sure what else they did but he did play in the sand in the playground area(this sand is the darker sand). Once he got tired with that area he took off towards the volleyball courts and John said he got really excited and just kept saying, "Snow, Snow, Snow" LOL The sand here is a lot lighter.

Sanford Family Fun Night!
For those of you who don't know, my family, my brothers family, my grandparents, and two of my cousins eat at my mom's house every Thursday night! It's something I look forward to every week. It's good food and you get to be with your family, what else could you ask for. But we really do appreciate what our parents do for us! Here are a few pictures from last Thursday and from last night!
Hey Nolen can you help me find the cows??
Hey Nolen can you help me find the cows??
There they are!
Monkey see monkey do! Trevor was in the pantry, so Mitchell thought he would go see if he could help him out some.
Last night mom had an Easter egg hunt for the little ones and for us big ones too! :0) Mitchell and Trevor had no clue what was going on, but Nolen was pumped for the egg hunt, although he made us to all of the looking for him HAHA He kept saying, Kristin do you see anymore?? Then Mitchell was just happy to find one. He would run around with it and shake it. Some of them had coins and others had goldfish! Then she had an adult hunt for us big people! It was pretty creative, but mom is always creative when it comes to stuff like this. She gave each of us the title of a nursery rhyme and we had to figure out where in the backyard our $5 worth of dimes was hidden. Mine was Hickory Dock, so I said the whole rhyme then looked around. I looked under the clock that was hanging on the wall and there was my money! HAHA Some other were Itsy Bitsy Spider for Jeremy and his was in the gutter (water spout) Johns was Sally Sales Seashells by the Seaside and his was under a seashell that was around mom's pond. So it was really fun for us to do something too and nice to have an extra $5, that'll buy you a meal at CiCi's HAHA

Not quite 12 inches!
Too bad we don't live in Erin, TN, because they got 12 inches of snow Friday night/Saturday morning. I guess we had an inch and a half or so, enough to go out and play in. Mitchell loved the snow, which he kept looking outside saying. He did several face plants into the snow, probably because of all of the layers he had on. I think he stayed pretty warm, except of course his face.
