Slam Dunk!

Well we are off to the beach in the morning! I know Mitchell is going to have a blast! He'll have 6 of his favorite people there with him! I'm sure we won't be able to get him off the beach or out of the water! I hope everyone has a great week! Come back in a week or so and we'll hopefully have some pictures up!

Nashville Zoo!

Last Wednesday we met Aunt Jamie, Nolen, and Trevor at the zoo. John had never been to the Nashville Zoo before, so I think he was the most excited in the group! It was a perfect day for the zoo! Mitchell is having a great summer spending time with his daddy and doing new things all the time! This was Mitchell's second time to the zoo, but the first time he wasn't even walking yet! After the zoo we took a trip to McDonald's, then to Sam's! Mitchell was almost asleep as we were driving down our road, so we were trying to keep him awake, thinking he would go to sleep once we got home. Pretty sure that plan backfired on us and he didn't take a nap at all that day!
The Three Amigos ready to explore the zoo!

Mitchell telling daddy what the elephant says!

I think Mitch needed some shades too!

Checking out the meerkats. I think this was Nolen's favorite part of the zoo!

Something must have been funny!

Can't leave little Trevor man out. I think he ate the entire time we were there! HAHA Just feed him and he's happy!

Grooming Mr. Billygoat!

Nolen must have been posing for someone else, because his momma wasn't around! HAHA

In the jungle gym with daddy!

He loved the carousel! I let him pick which animal he wanted to ride and he picked the giraffe. Wouldn't you know its the only one that doesn't go up and down too (guess since its so tall)

Father's Day!

Better late than never right?? I hope all you fathers had a great Father's Day! We went over to Aunt Lisa & Uncle Clay's house to celebrate Father's Day! We had a great dinner and great time together! Mitchell loved playing with Maddie/Michael and all of Michael's toys.
Mitchell and Pops!
I just thought this was a cute smile!

YUM! Even though his face doesn't show it in this picture, he loved Aunt Lisa's brownies and ice cream!

Look at the teamwork!

More teamwork! Helping Aunt Lisa put the shapes in the box!

Gone Fishing!

A few weeks back Mitch, me, Grandmother, and Pawpaw went down to the lake. They had been wanting to take him fishing for a while because of how much he loves "fishies" and loves walking around with a pole in his hand, so we decided to give it a try. We fished off the dock and he did really well. I figured he would be running around like a wild man or in the water, but he sat down in our laps for a good long while. I'm just happy that it didn't take long to catch the fish! He only lost his pole one time, but Pawpaw fished it back out, so all was well! I have a video of him catching a fish and touching it, but it takes forever to download, I may try later on! Ready to go fishin' with Pawpaw's hat on.

Ok grandmothers, lets catch a big one!

LOOK Pawpaw, I got a BIG one!

Mitchell's first "fishie"

Not sure what this face is, i guess he's trying to look like a fish!

Heading back home after a good nights fishing!

Busy Busy!

I apologize for the delay in new blogs. We have been SO busy. John is working part-time for the school systems mowing, then he has been having games, so he just stays in Hartsville until after his games, which is late, so I haven't had much time to sit down and blog. He was picked to be the All-Star coach by the players, so he'll be practicing 3 nights a week for the next three weeks, then they play their tournament, so it doesn't look like things are going to slow down much! I forgot my camera, but i'll try and get some new pics up soon. Mitchell fished for the first time a couple weeks ago with grandmother and pawpaw, then last week we went to the lake for our weekly family get together. Nolen and Mitchell had a blast throwing rocks in the lake! Pics to come soon!

Defeated Camping Trip

John, Mitchell, and I spent the weekend at Defeated Creek camping with Grandma & Papaw. Mitchell had a blast. His naps Sat. & Sunday were an hour combined, needless to say he was a little pooped last night. He fed the HUGE carp some popcorn at the marina, went to the beach, played at the playground, and rode the paddle boat and waverunners. Daniel, David, Aunt Jamie, Nolen, and Trevor came up Saturday afternoon and spent some time with us. I know there will be many more trips to Defeated!

Mitchell eating the popcorn that he's supposed to be feeding to the fish.

At the marina-feeding the fish with Grandma.

This is what Mitchell was doing before we left at Grandma & Papaw's. We rode up with Papaw and he was pulling the waverunners (aka boats) He didn't want to get off of them before we even left and on the ride up he would turn around and say boat every so often.

Debbie, Janet, mom, Mitchell
Mom's best friend Debbie and her mom Janet came up Tuesday from Virginia and spent the week. Janet with my grandmother at her house and Debbie with my mom camping. Debbie, hope your legs aren't too sore from mom walking you so much!

Giving Ms. Janet a kiss goodbye!

The hair is getting more blonde by the minute!

Mitchell's "CHEESE" smile!

Don't think Mitch wanted to take this picture! LOL

The fish that John "caught" It was dead floating by the shore, so he picked it up!

Mitchell playing "hide" his favorite game!

But Papaw, can we PLEASE ride the boats again???

Woohooooo, he said Yes!!

Weeeeeeee! It wasn't a surprise at all that Mitchell loved the waverunners. He actually almost went to sleep a couple times while he was riding.

Nolen and Mitchell heard someone say "beach", so they loaded themselves up into the strollers and were ready to go.

Look at that beach bod!

Mitchell playing with his other white haired friend, Luke! Luke was already 2, I would have never guessed though by his size (maybe it was because I was comparing him to the brute) LOL

Pretty blues!

The guys (Daniel, John, & David) hanging out inside while the rainstorm passes by.

AFTER the rainshower!
