Trampoline fun

Papaw and Grandma got the grandkids a trampoline for Christmas, so we decided to put it together Saturday since it was such a nice (but windy) day! Mitchell helped us and Shelby cheered us on.
Wearing her Amish bonnet her Grandma brought back for her!
It's the "Sanford" eye squint grin!

Like Father like Son! Mitchell doing his part!

Cutie-pa-tuties!

Being goofy! (what he does best!)

Almost done!

We almost had a casualty after we got it put together. John was doing a flip that he did when he was "younger"...well he didn't quite make it around and he landed on his neck. I know it hurt him because all the next day he kept rubbing it and John never complains about anything. He also had some trampoline burn on his forehead!
This is him trying to get some air for his "trick"

Going around...

And not quite making it around!

I had to get in on the action too, but i chose not to do any "tricks" HAHA

Miss Shelby loved the trampoline.

He loves his sister! He told me yesterday while sitting beside her in the car that they were going to talk when she gets older! I think he wishes she could talk now!

Weeeeeeee!

And to end the day John climbed a ladder to change the rope on the flagpole. What a good son-in-law. Not sure if my dad would have done this or not! I couldn't watch!

6 months

1/2 way to a year! WOW its hard to believe!
A few things about Shelby at 6 months:

-you can sit up for a VERY long time now and hardly ever fall over. We usually put pillows around you, just in case! :)
-you are sleeping in your crib ALL NIGHT LONG! It's wonderful! We had to let you "learn" to go to sleep on your own, but it only took a couple nights! You cry out a couple times during the night sometimes, but its never over 5 minutes at a time!
-you are loving your solid foods. So far you have liked them all. I'm thinking you are going to be an eater, because we can't even eat around you if you haven't eaten yet.
-you are loving your baths now, especially now that you can sit up like a big girl!
-your jump-a-roo is one of your favorite things to do. As long as someone is around for you to see and be entertained by you love being in it.
-so far you are loving the warm weather. We have taken advantage of the warmer days and you love sitting in your exersaucer just watching us play!
-you are a little cuddle bug! Whenever you are wanting to go to sleep you love holding mommy's hand or touching my face.
-you still aren't a good napper during the day, unless someone's holding you. But we are thankful that you sleep at night!
-you weighed 17 lbs. 5 oz. (77%) and were 26 1/2 inches (77%) yesterday at your 6 month check up!
-and Dr. M. said that the blonde spot on the back of your head may be there for a while! :)
Ok mom, I'm kinda bored now!
Pretty girl on her dedication day. (thats a whole post to itself)

Lovin' her bath!

Ready for the Beach!

I've been consignment shopping the past two weeks and came home with some really cute swimwear for the kids for the summer. Yesterday we were having the wintertime blues, so we thought we would try on our new suits (Don't worry i didn't put one on-I'll spare you :)
I got Shelby this bathing suit with a teal cover up for $4! Mitchell's trunks actually came from Goodwill (my new fav. store) for $2.49

Big girl sitting up!
Beach bod!

Love his cow lick!
