The verdict is...
Well we aren't 100% sure but it looks like Mitchell has been right all along. Everytime i ask him what I'm having he says a "baby sitter" I had my ultrasound first, then my reg. monthly visit afterwards. John was there for the ultrasound, then left right after it was finished with an undetermined answer on the gender. She mentioned a girl a couple times during the ultrasound, but didn't want to say for sure, because she was turned down the whole time and she couldn't get a good angle. So then i met with the doc for about 10 minutes and as i was checking out the tech. asked if i wanted to take another look and I of course said, "Of course" This time she had flipped around but was still head down, but she got a little better look and said she was going to say 80% that she was a girl. SO it's not 100%, but i guess thats better than 50%. Dr. Cadena said to remind him next time and he would take another look. I asked if it would be ok to go ahead and buy pink, she said she would keep the receipts just in case! HAHA So i guess we'll know for sure in another month or so.

Thursday is the big day!
Thursday we find out if Mitchell will be having a baby brother (Dinosaur Rex) or a sister (Naveya). Those are the names that he has picked out. Naveya is his little g/f at school. Mrs. Dorothy said he was chasing her around last Wed. making kissing sounds. Already chasing after the ladies! HAHA Our appt. is @ 10:30 for the ultrasound, then i have my normal monthly visit immediately following. So I'm sure I'll have something posted that afternoon, so check back. I told mom that John and I are going to find out but not tell anyone, so she has been trying to find a way to go with us. Now she really think Mitchell needs to go with us and she would just LOVE to go along with us to help watch him. HAHA
(We won't really keep it from everyone-i could never keep it in for that long)
We don't care what we are having, just as long as its healthy. That's the main thing!

Yard Work Day and Mud Baths
Saturday before John left for Washington, D.C. we decided we wanted to get our new landscape bed put in, so we can get some stuff planted soon! Pops came over bright and early Sat. morning and they got to work! Thanks so much for coming over and helping Pops and thanks to my dad for getting the Bobcat for us!
BEFORE: We were putting the new bed in front of the new addition.
AFTER: Lots and lots of landscaping edgers-150 more to be exact!
Side view! It already makes the house look MUCH better!

Here is the foreman on the job! This was Friday afternoon! He got to see the dump truck dump the dirt and everything! Exciting for a little boy who loves nothing more than being dirty!
King of the mountain!
It was pretty funny to sit and watch them play in the mud and also watch the cars as they passed by. You could see all the kids faces just light up and the adults cringe! There was one car that passed by and there were 3 kids in it and they had the windows down, so we could hear them talking about how cool it would be to do that! HAHA

Birthday/Easter weekend
Last weekend we went to the Charlie Daniels Park for an egg hunt, inflatables, food, and fun. Clay, Lisa, and Michael met us there for some fun!

Friday was my birthday and John was off for Good Friday, so we decided to take Mitchell to the puppet show at the downtown library, well that was a mistake. The place was packed since all of the kids were out of school, so we went with Plan B and headed to Phillips Toy Mart for a little fun. Then we headed back downtown to eat at The Old Spaghetti Factory-YUMMY!
Mitchell eating my ice cream-after he had already eaten John's!

Saturday night we had some friends over for a cookout and more egg hunting! The day started out cloudy and cool, but it turned out just perfect!

Then boys rode the truck so much that the battery died, so Mitchell had to do a little pushing!

Look what the Easter Bunny brought! A Lightning McQueen basket!
After church Sunday we headed to my great-Uncle Bobby's and Aunt Peggy's house. They have a beautiful yard, so we took a little mini-photo shoot! We had some great food, fun time with family, and an egg hunt!
Family shot! Mitchell looking all grown-up with his tie on!
Loving the waterfall.
Cheese!
My fav. pic! I loved Aunt Susie's comment on facebook about this pic. "It's good to see Mitchell sitting on the rock, instead of falling." HAHA
Happy Birthday Trevor!

First ER visit
Yesterday was the scariest day by far as a mom! We were enjoying a nice sunny day at Gram and Pops house with cousin Maddie, Karla, Aunt Susie, Gram, and Pops flying kites, riding the gator, and feeding the fish! Their deck overlooks their fish pond, which is bordered by lots of rocks, well the kids love standing on this small table on the deck to feed the fish. It's about 3-4 feet up off the ground. Well i guess Mitchell got out a little too far in one of his throws and went flying head first over the rail. All i saw were his feet up in the air. As soon as Gram got down to where he was there was blood everywhere. I didn't really freak out at first because all I could think about was getting to the ER. After the fact i kept thinking though that it could have been alot worse. I think he landed sort of on the side of his head, because he had a big knot on the front of his head with a few scrapes and a pretty big gash on the side towards the back. He had to have that one glued back. He was such a big boy at the hospital. He kept saying that the nurse was a "nice lady" I was really only concerned about a concussion or something worse, but he was his normal old wild self last night, without a nap and all. And if you want to know what happened, he can tell you all about it!
Waiting in the ER room! That white shirt got thrown away.
